Theater Theater Assistant

Requirements

Reporting to the supervisor, the work study student assistant will use his/her excellent oral and written communication skills to support the activities of the Theater in the Belmont Abbey College community.

Work Schedule

The Theater Assistant will make his or her own schedule at the beginning of the semester, averaging 4 to 10 hours per week. The supervisor is flexible according to class schedules.  The Theater Assistant should be available to work evenings and weekends.

Location

The Theater Assistant will work primarily in the Haid Theater. The work environment is a general office setting with no strenuous physical demands.

Responsibilities

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise the box office, filling ticket orders and calling reservations with confirmation
  • General responsibility for theater lobby/audience area during performances
  • General clerical duties such as photocopying materials and programs

The successful candidate will have an exemplary work ethic and understand the “big picture” while also not be afraid to roll up his or her sleeves to do the work that will support a community that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit of the whole student.
