Chartwells Dining Hall Catering Intern
Requirements
The Dining Hall Catering Intern will assist the Catering Manager with hands on planning and execution of events on campus. The student must be able to sit or stand for long periods and walk around campus. Dress will be casual.
Work Schedule
The Dining Hall Catering Intern will make his or her own schedule in conjunction with the Dining Hall needs at the beginning of the semester. The supervisor is flexible with scheduling according to class schedules.
Location
The Dining Hall Catering Intern will work in the Dining Hall and around campus at event locations.
Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with oversight of the catering department, program and processes; including, but not liminted to, inbound/outbound calls, maintaining catering databases, and assisting with delivering catering orders.
- Provides thought leadership, strategy, and direction related to growing catering.
- Assists in creating the "vision" for special events, including layouts and displays.
- Assists in on-site event execution to include set-up and break-down.
- Assists in communications around event management, including BEOs, timelines, and calendars.
