Chartwells Dining Hall - General Utility Assistant

Requirements

The Dining Hall General Utility Assistant must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and will be required to provide their own black pants and slip resistant shoes. 

Work Schedule

The Dining Hall General Utility Assistant will make his or her own schedule in conjunction with the Dining Hall needs at the beginning of the semester.  The supervisor is flexible with scheduling according to class schedules.

Location

The Dining Hall General Utility Assistant will work in the Dining Hall kitchen and eating areas.

Responsibilities

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Have the dish belt adequately soaped down and functioning properly; adequately cleaning all dishes that come through according to set standards.
  • Stock silverware, trays, and glasses during service and at the end of the day.
  • Perform cleaning maintenance on dishwasher as required.
  • Sweep and mop floors at the end of each meal and at end of the day; properly clean and store brooms, dust pans, mop heads, and mop buckets.
  • Remove all garbage from kitchen, hose out cans, and replace garbage bags.
  • Assist with the set up of special events.
